Tails vary in make and design depending on the production. Most are made from a blend of many yarns, bits of wool, and small pieces of shredded organza. The belt rope is made from a cotton or synthetic fabric braid wrapped around the waist and secured in back by both loops and snaps.

In many productions, tails fall just above or below the knee. Some are longer (Munkustrap, Tugger) and others shorter (Mistofelees). You can make your tail however long you would like it to be.
