Welcome!
Greetings!  Welcome to Lady Jemima's Costume Corner, a website for creating CATS costumes.  When I first began costuming, I sometimes found myself frustrated with the lack of current information.  What began as writing down steps to make a faux-fur wig blossomed into a full-fledged website!

Here at Lady Jemima's Costume Corner, you will find in-depth information about creating your own CATS costume, with helpful tools like supply lists, price comparisons, photographs, and simple, easy-to-understand tutorials.

Like most websites, I have broken costuming down to its basic components, seen on the left navigation bar.  There you will also find links to a beginner's outline, commission guides, costume care tips, and a well-organized page of sources and supplies.

I hope this website proves helpful to both novice and experienced costumers.
I have put together the information on this website to the best of my knowledge and ability, and all opinions and tutorial expressed are my own. I have worked countless hours researching, writing, and taking photographs for this website, so please do not use any information or photographs without contacting me first for permission. Every costumer does things a little differently, and you will probably find that sometimes you will deviate from my tutorials to find your own style!

Please feel free to email me with any questions, comments, or ideas, or to report a broken image or link (which will be promptly fixed).  Thank you so much for stopping by, and don't forget to stop by L.J.'s Costume Shoppe to find that special something for your costume.

Disclaimer
Costuming is a wonderful and fun hobby but precautions should always be taken. Paint and dye fumes, chemical additives, certain glues, knives, prongs, and other costuming materials can cause harm or injury. Children should be supervised at all times. Please review warnings on labels and always use proper ventilation and rubber gloves when needed.  Store all tools out of reach of children and pets.

Lady Jemima's Costume Corner takes no responsibility for any damage done to your person or personal items, including costumes. Always test products and techniques on scraps of paper or fabric before applying them to your actual costume.  Consult with other costumers if you are unsure about a technique.

This site is built upon the experience of myself and of fellow costumers.  Costuming is a long learning process, and the information on this website is based on my own personal opinions.  If you feel as though you would like additional resources, please visits the Links page for other helpful websites.

Above all use common sense and enjoy yourself!
